CASA of Southern Kentucky is proud to celebrate an important milestone as our first CASA volunteer from Wayne County was officially sworn in today by the Honorable Judge Upchurch-Edwards.
Please join us in welcoming Nancy Carter, who is beginning her journey as a CASA advocate. Nancy is pictured with Judge Upchurch-Edwards and Volunteer Coordinator Lisa Coffey, who will support her as she begins advocating for children in the child welfare system.
CASA volunteers play a vital role in ensuring children who have experienced abuse or neglect have someone standing beside them and speaking up for their best interests in court. Nancy’s willingness to step forward demonstrates how one person truly can make a powerful difference in a child’s life.
We are grateful for Nancy’s commitment to serving the children of Wayne County and helping ensure they are seen, heard, and supported.
Make a Difference in a Child’s Story
CASA of Southern Kentucky continues to seek compassionate individuals who want to make a lasting impact in their community. If you feel called to serve, we invite you to learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer advocate.
