CASA of Southern Kentucky is proud to celebrate an exciting milestone for our program. Today, the first two volunteers from Russell County were officially sworn in to serve as CASA advocates, expanding our ability to support children in the child welfare system.
Please join us in welcoming Amy Dennis and Amelia Thomas, who were sworn in by the Honorable Judge Upchurch Edwards. They are pictured alongside Volunteer Coordinator Lisa Coffey, who will help guide and support their advocacy work.
By stepping forward to serve, Amy and Amelia are helping ensure that vulnerable children in our community have a voice and someone standing beside them during difficult times. CASA advocates play a vital role in speaking up for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect, helping the court make informed decisions that lead to safe and stable futures.
We are deeply grateful for the time, commitment, and heart these volunteers bring to this important work. Their willingness to serve will truly make a difference in the lives of children who need it most.
